Do I need to have a California address to be a patient at NorCal ADHD?
Last Updated: September 04, 2018
The reason we ask for a California Address for booking an initial appointment is that it's required for scheduled medications. If you are not seeking medication for your ADHD, you do not need a California license.
Some treatment plans to help those with ADHD involve controlled substances. Scheduled medications cannot be written to someone without a permanent address in California.
This is a prescription restriction for any prescriber in California, not just NorCal ADHD.
A California driver license must be scanned or manually entered for a patient (or their representative) to take possession of a Schedule 2 medication. That license must have a California address.
